Leo's father Richard made almost 300 wood engravings between 1960 and 1989 for Faber & Faber, Oxford University Press, the Folio Society, The Libanus Press and The Limited Editions Club of New York and others. A complete catalogue is listed in the book "The Wood Engravings of Richard Shirley Smith 1994"
